ESSENTIAL SHORT COURSES

FOR SMALL CONSTRUCTION BUSINESSES

TAFE Queensland is currently offering three non-accredited short courses for small construction businesses. These short courses are fully funded by Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ)* and will be held online via Zoom monthly from August to November 2021.

 
#1 Financial and Budgeting Skills - 3 x 2 hour sessions
 
Managing a budget is a fine art, to say the least. Budgets, whether for home or work, help identify all the things that need to happen with your money for you to reach your goals. Learn how to manage and forecast with this fundamental short course.
 
 
#2 Negotiation and Conflict Resolution - 2 x 2 hour sessions
 
All negotiation requires a bit of give and take, and the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts well is an important skill that anyone running a small business should master. This course is great for anyone just starting, or who has been managing their small business for a while.
 
 
#3 Digital Skills - 2 x 2 hour sessions
 
Digital skills are defined as a range of abilities to use digital devices, communication applications, and networks to access and manage information. This course has been designed to give small business owners the knowledge and confidence to implement digital solutions in their business to increase efficiency and productivity.
