Digital Tracks focuses on developing the digital literacy, skills and expertise of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander small businesses in the south east corner to meet the demands of a growing digital economy across small business and for these businesses to meet the required criteria of the Queensland Government’s Best of Queensland Experiences.

The BoQE is the new benchmark standard for tourism and hospitality businesses and is managed by Tourism Events Queensland (TEQ) to “identify those experiences that best bring the Queensland story to life and consistently deliver a higher-quality visitor experience”.

The BoQE criteria are now online and social media based (90 out of 100 possible points) which is a significant shift from an industry based assessment to a digital based customer centric process. It is now essential to build further on the legacy and improve the capability of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander small businesses to meet government and industry standards, in particular, the BoQE, by completing intensive training in the following identified areas with both theoretical and practical support:

  • Social Media

  • Digital Advertising and Promotion

  • Managing Digital Reviews and Feedback

  • Managing Clients and Customers.
