TRADE TASTER PROGRAM

Trade Taster Programs are fully funded programs available to eligible Year 10 high school students.

If you are not sure what you want to do when you grow up, you can try out a range of trade and skill areas offered to you in our Trade Taster Program. Join our classes and you can test out a couple of different study area units without needing to commit to a full qualification or apprenticeship, so you can decide what industry is right for you.

You will gain a taste of what Certificate course you will want to pathway into when you are studying in Year 11 or Year 12, so you can make the right choice on the qualification you want study. Check out our TAFE at School courses that are offered to High School students (our guides are updated every May for the following year). There are some awesome flow chart diagrams in this guide, that you can see what further courses you can study at TAFE Queensland or at University in the future.

HOW IT WORKS
Trade Taster Programs are delivered over seven (7) weeks, depending on the study area you decide to study. You will be required to attend one day per week for a full school day, over the duration of the program (during a school term). We have developed these programs to fit around high school subjects, so you can gain the advantage of kick starting your career path, while you are still studying at school. That's a win, win!

FEES AND ELIGIBILITY
