Quota courses

Many of our most popular courses at TAFE Queensland have limited spaces, and we do not wish for anyone to miss out on opportunity to study with us.

Unfortunately in the Semester 1 2020 intake numerous students have missed out on places, and we do not want this to occur again in future intakes. For this reason we will only guarantee a place in the quota program once student has provided full acceptance which includes: Acceptance (Signed Written agreement), Academics, English requirements, once any remaining conditions on the offer are met, and once evidence of the full offer acceptance payment has been received.

If your student receives an offer for a course with limited places available, the letter will state in the conditions section how many places are remaining at the time that the offer is issued. Until the student’s enrolment has been processed (and TAFE Queensland issues their CoE), a place is not guaranteed for them and they may be required to either defer to the next available intake or amend their study plan to an alternative course.

TAFE Queensland is pleased to offer students who are currently onshore, all around Australia, an opportunity to learn English safely and comfortably from their home. This is a temporary measure taken as a result of the current situation we are facing due to COVID-19.

Our professional and committed teachers will be available on every virtual class to provide students with the same quality of interactive and fun English classes and keep students effectively engaged, just as if they were in a real classroom.

Successful completion of our English courses may also give students a pathway into our selected Vocational courses.

See what our students have to say about our Virtual English classes!

Fiamma Ramos (Colombia)
My personal opinion about this new experience is that I can feel my English skills are improving much faster than in the classroom. I'm participating more and being an active person during the virtual class. E-learning is making me a creative person because I can access the educational content from anywhere and anytime and I'm saving money on the travel and saving time as well. I'm feeling happy and very comfortable with this way of learning so far. Now I can see that new technologies and new ways to share the wonder of learning are pushing out the old fashion and traditional education. I need to say I have such a good teacher as well!

Dang Vinh Thanh Nguyen (Vietnam)
After 2 weeks into virtual learning, I find that it is really very interesting and new way of learning. Furthermore, I can learn and practice all of my speaking and other skills easily as well as to meet and talk with a lot of new friends from all around the world without moving anywhere. The schedule and online coffee break are also really flexible. Thanks for giving me a great opportunity to explore this new kind of learning.

Christian Julian Gonzalez Galvis (Colombia)
I have been studying the IELTS preparation course at TAFE Queensland in Brisbane for 7 months. I’m really delighted with the virtual classes because they are of a consistently high standard and enjoyable. I noted that all the educators are prepared for the teaching challenge but I am especially grateful with my teacher, Andrew Fergurson, for all the academic and personal support he provided during my period of studies. Thanks TAFE Queensland for helping me to achieve my dreams!
