Congratulations to the 2019 AIPP QLD Student Photographer of the Year, Troy Lum, TAFE Queensland Diploma Photography and Photo Imaging student, who took out the coveted title at the Gala Photography Industry Dinner earlier this month. The Awards Dinner sponsored by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) followed a weekend of judging at the 2019 Queensland Epson Professional Photography Awards.

Photographers from all around Queensland submitted images for the Awards which were hosted at Mt Gravatt, Brisbane.

TAFE Queensland Diploma of Photography students, Meredith Xu, Reilly Wardrope each took home two Silver Awards while Troy was awarded one Silver Award and a Silver Distinction Award.

15 students from the Diploma of Photography course entered images in the awards with many other TAFE students volunteering to work behind the scenes at the event.
